Horacio 7-12
1st inning
-Mark Grudzielanek~ Horacios being um, kinda wild to Grudzy here. He looks ok but a little jittery. Double, ok, Horacios no no is gone.
-Ramon Martinez~ sac bunt, he bunted on a 1-0 count.
-Sammy Sosa~ great pitches to Sammy here, on a 1-1 count Sammy hardly hit it above DeRosas head. A Gonzo-esque bloop.
-Moises Alou~ He doesn't look like he has his best stuff today, 5 pitches and another bloop against Horacio, this one along the right field line.
-Eric Karros~ double play, great luck for Horacio.
Pretty rough inning for Ramirez, very impressive that he only gave up one run. Horacio stranded a runner.
2nd inning
-Alex Gonzalez~ barely missing w/ his pitches, not hit very hard, single for Gonzalez. It seems Horacio is getting a lot of balls that are not hit very hard against him.
-Jose Hernandez~ again barely missing w/ his pitches to Jose. F-9 on a 2-0 count.
-Damian Miller~ first pitch made him look ugly!!! Double play to end the inning, AGAIN!
So it is true that Horacio is studying Tom Glavine when he was a brave. 2 dp's very nice work. Not throwing a whole lot of pitches, though also not throwing a whole lot of strikes. Oh well, 1-0 game.
3rd inning
-Matt Clement~ U-G-L-Y you aint got no alibi, you're a pitcher! Yeah, yeah, you're a pitcher! He looked pretty bad on all pitches.. 4 pitch strike out swinging.
-Mark Gruzielanek~ Horacio is dealing to Mark.. he's looking a little bit better this inning! Full count, f-9 on 7 pitches.
-Ramon Martinez~ Full count, nothing flashy to Ramon, struck out on 7 pitches.
He looked really good in this inning, 3 up 3 down, 2 strike outs, Got more swings and misses this time.
4th inning
-Sammy Sosa~ Home run 2nd pitch, don't exactly KNOW how that carried out…
-Moises Alou- Horacios being pretty wild to Moises, maybe the home run shook him up. Base hit on the 5th pitch for Moises.
-Eric Karros~ Horacio could use another DP here! He's barely missing w/ his pitches… 3-1 walk.
-Alex Gonzalez~ double on the first pitch, scored Moises. Line drive above Furcals head.
-Jose Hernandez~ HORACIO WHATCHA DOIN!?!? Double for Jose. NO freakin outs!!!
-Damian Miller~ first pitch, great play by Furcal to get him out.
-Matt Clement~ 1st pitch comebacker, 2 out.
-Mark Grudzielanek~ Double to left center, on a pretty good pitch.
[Horacio left after Grudzys double]
Ok, so a pretty sour outing for Ramirez. Not too many positives… He showed signs of coming through when pitching to Ramon Martinez, and also in the 3rd inning he looked good. Lets hope Kevin Gryboski can keep Horacio to only 6 runs. Never mind, Gryb let me down. Thanks Kevin =) Maybe the Braves can pick Horacio up and make this a no decision. Ok, so Gryboski can get Sammy Sosa out, but he cant get Ramon Martinez out. Mmk.
